Nanga Parbat (8126 m) Expedition

Nanga Parbat (central peak) has a height of 8126 meters/26,660 ft. It has three vast faces. The north and south silver crags and silver plateau dominate the Raikot face. Diamir’s face is rocky in the beginning. It converts itself into ice fields around the higher end of the peak.

The Rupal face is the highest precipice in the world. Reinhold Messner, a living legend in mountaineering from Italy, has said, “Everyone who has ever stood at the foot of this face (4500 meters) up above the ‘Tap Alpe’; studied it or flown over it, could not help but have been amazed by its sheer size. Nanga Parbat is indisputably the highest rock and ice wall in the world.

Day 01: Islamabad

Arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

Day 02: Islamabad to Chilas

Early morning drive for Chilas. Overnight stay in a hotel at Chilas.

Day 03 to 06: Chilas to Sear – Gudgali – Diamir BC

We will embark on Jeeps for Bunar and then onward trekking to Diamer base camp (Tent).

Day 07: to 45: Climbing Activities

We have 40 days for acclimatization and for scaling the summit. (Tent)

Day

Day 46 to 47: Sear to Chilas

Trek down to Bunar and drive back to Chilas. Overnight stay in a hotel at Chilas.

Day 48: Chilas to Islamabad

Early morning drive back to Islamabad.via Babusar pass Overnight stay in Islamabad.

Day

Day 49: Islamabad

Alpine Club will hold a farewell meeting at Alpine Club.

Day 50: Islamabad to Flight out

Transfer to airport for flight back home.

Trekking and Base Camp Food:

Porters:

Carry on member’s climbing gear, foodstuff, camping crew, etc., up to base camp and return to the Jeep Roadhead. All porters insurance
